Master Jaha, while demonstrating the Water summoning kata

The Water Civilization, also sometimes called the Water Realm or simply Water, is a mono-civilization combination that is distinguished by a blue color frame and is represented by a cybernetic wave symbol.

Creatures of the Water Civilization are cyber-intellectuals obsessed with knowledge and information. They are very intelligent, logical and curious. Psionic attacks and telepathy are among their primary battle tactics.

The Monarch of the Water Civilization is King Tritonus who is the rightful owner of the Helm of Ultimate Technology.

Description

The Water Civilization is located in the depths of any sufficiently large body of water like a pond, mighty river, lake or ocean. The most centered and naturally peaceful civilization, they often do not start battles, but once roused into a storm where their relentless counter attacks can decimate their foes. The Light Civilization are regarded as allies as their general philosophy of order and knowledge tend to blend well together. Likewise, the Water Civilization finds a symbiotic balance with Darkness.

However, the Water Civilization does not care for the Nature Civilization’s ever-growing, all-consuming way and regards the Fire Civilization as destructive creatures to be wiped out. They’re streamlined and highly technological – nearly as much so as the Light Civilization. They exploit microchip technology as well as hydraulics. Since speaking is difficult underwater, many inhabitants use mental telepathy to communicate. Denizens of the Water Civilization can utilize supersonic/electromagnetic waves.

Naturally, Water creatures are able to breathe underwater, as well as harmlessly withstand the crushing pressure of the deep. Furthermore, Water creatures are known to feel dehydrated and become weaker when they are on land.

The Water Civilization capital is located roughly 6,900 feet below sea level.

Summoning Kata

The kata for summoning a creature of the Water Civilization starts by bending your knees and with your right hand open and your palm facing upward, and your left hand on top of your right at a perpendicular angle to your right hand, the fingers on your left hand pointing towards your body, swing both arms to your right, then to your left. Finally, you extend your right arm forward and your left arm back while bending your left knee and extend you right leg forward in a low stance.

When the kata is being performed, the duelist is surrounded by a whirl of water.

Trivia

  • When telepathy proves insufficient at extracting information from prisoners, the Cyber Lords use a device called the Deep Mind Probe.
  • Unlike bodies of water in the human world, water bodies in the creature realm can maintain their surface tension at a large scale, creating a stable, but still permeable wall of water at some parts of the Water Civilization border.
