- Q: If my opponent has a creature in the battle zone that gives his or her other creatures “Blocker” (such as Ra-Vu the Stormbringer), would a creature that doesn’t normally have “Blocker” enter the battle zone tapped?
- A: Yes. Abilities that determine how a creature enters the battle zone (such as tapped or not) look at what that creature will be affected by in the battle zone. At that time, it has “Blocker,” so “Daunting” applies.
- Q: If a card that has “Shield Blast” is put into my opponent’s discard pile because of the “No Quarter” ability, can my opponent cast or summon that card for free?
- A: No. The card never makes it to your opponent’s shield zone. It doesn’t become a shield, and it isn’t broken. The card is just put into your opponent’s discard pile.
