The Siphon is the 10th episode of season 1 in the Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters series.

To replenish the Veil, Master Chavez must siphon mana from one of the slumbering Creature Civilization kings. But when The Choten attempts to take possession of the mana, Ray, Gabe, and Allie and their creature companions must pull out all the stops to defeat him and his allies.

Ray, Gabe, and Allie travel with Master Chavez and Master Kimora to a mountain where Master Chavez must perform "The Siphon" on the sleeping fire civilization king. When Master Chavez starts the siphon, Master Kimora starts searching for a signal for his phone, while leaving Ray, Gabe, and Allie as the guards.

Master Kimora gets ambushed by Heller, Fingers and Alakshmi. Master Kimora loses the duel but manages to alert the children about the ambush by sending Kenina the Igniter to them. The kids and Chavez start to move from the mountain but get ambushed by them. However Heller, Fingers and Alakshmi soon lose the duel and have to retreat. They plan to attack again but this time the kids lose the duel. Master Chavez is taken captive, Gabe, and Allie are presumed dead. And Ray is stranded on the edge of a cliff.

Ray climbs the cliff and finds out that Gabe and Allie are still alive. Ray makes a plan to take mana from the fire king and use it to charge up Bob, summon Hissy and Shaw K'Naw. This time Ray ambushes the Choten and wins.

After Master Chavez finishes the siphon Ray reveals to him that the original duel masters betrayed the creature kings by draining them of their mana and keeping them in hibernation when the kings had helped them make the veil.
