- "Infernus the Immolator, hear me!" — The Choten
Infernus the Immolator is a creature in the Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters series.
Description[]
Infernus the Immolator, monarch of the Fire civilization lay in slumber for eons, his mana being siphoned off by the Kaijudo Duel Masters to sustain the Veil. After being woken by The Choten, Infernus returns to Fire to rule his civilization.
History[]
Thousands of years ago, Infernus the Immolator was the ruler of the entire Fire Civilization and was the wielder of the Sword of Fiery Cataclysm. When a war between humans and Kaiju that threatened to destroy the entire world erupted, Infernus the Immolator, King Tritonus, Almighty Colossus, Queen Kalima of the Infinite Dark, and Eternal Haven, Angelic Liege banded together with five human wizards to end the war.
The Creature Monarchs willingly sacrificed their mana energy so that the original Duel Masters might create the mystical veil that has ever since separated the human and Kaiju worlds. Drained of almost all their energy, the five Monarchs fell into a deep slumber with Infernus the Immolator being hidden within the mountains.
It appears the plan was originally to allow the Monarchs to recover their strength and awaken before sending them across the Veil so they might rule their peoples again, but at some point, the Order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters betrayed the Monarchs' trust, periodically siphoning off their mana, keeping them in hibernation for a millennium.
Plot[]
During his first encounter with Ray, he managed to gain enough consciousness to make telepathic contact with the boy and explain the true origin of the Veil. He asked Ray why the Duel Masters had betrayed the Creature Kings' trust and then gave Ray a gift: an infusion of Mana so great, it evolved Ray's Dueling Gauntlet and gave the boy the energy to summon a small army of Creatures to defend his friends.
After The Choten had awoken the Creature Monarchs, he summoned Infernus the Immolator to him. When Allison Underhill claims the Sword of Fiery Cataclysm, Ray returns it to Infernus. Infernus remembers Ray and agrees to duel with him. When the Veil is restored, Infernus is returned to the Fire Civilization as he tells Skycrusher to send word to all Fire Civilization Creatures that they are going to war.
In Boiling Point, Infernus announces the victory in the first fight against the Water Civilization. He also pardons Tatsurion the Unchained of his previous crimes upon Tatsurion the Unchained rescuing Lord Skycrusher and previously returning the Sword of Fiery Cataclysm to him.
